Assessment Day
Our 11+ Assessment Day takes place in October prior to the year of entry. Girls visit Queen Anne’s to sit a written English paper and online Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning assessment. The first step is to register your daughter with Queen Anne's School. She will then be invited to take part in the assessment day.
Fun, non-assessed workshops also take place during the day to enable girls to get to know one another and experience the breadth of life at Queen Anne’s.
Academic Scholarships will be considered on the examinations results from Assessment Day. Scholarships in Art, Drama, Music and Sport will be assessed at a Specialist Scholarship Day/s in October. Candidates will also be invited to interview with the Head or a Deputy Head at a mutually convenient time and a reference will be requested from their current school. There is no requirement for girls to sit Common Entrance for 11+ entry.
11+ Post Assessment
We know that it can be an anxious wait to find out about school applications and we therefore make families aware of the outcome earlier than many schools. We write to those who attended Assessment Day by Friday 15 November 2024 to let you know whether your daughter has been offered a place at Queen Anne’s School including the results of any Scholarship applications. The outcome of any bursary applications are made available by the end of January.
What happens if I miss the deadline for Assessment Day?
Applications into other years groups or mid-year are considered on an individual basis where spaces are available. If you have missed the standard assessment process, please speak with the Admissions Team about alternative assessment arrangements.
I was expecting to pick up a very tired child, desperate to leave. Instead I found her bouncing with enthusiasm, desperate to introduce me to her new friend and get me to swap numbers with her mum.
