International Students

We warmly welcome pupils from overseas to become part of our excellent boarding community. The warm and friendly atmosphere makes it easy for pupils to settle in to the school and make long lasting friendships, while the group system creates a homely, safe and secure environment.

International Admissions Process

Students who are resident overseas will be asked to take their entrance examinations through the offices of the British Council, under the supervision of their current school or with a nominated educational agent.

Entrance examinations for students wishing to join Queen Anne’s at 11+, 12+, 13+, 14+ and 16+ will have two stages:

Stage One:

Online tests in Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning as well as an online English Language Placement test for students whose second language is English.

Stage Two:

All Students will have a short interview with a senior member of staff. We would be happy to make arrangements for students to attend their interview remotely via MS TEAMS or Zoom.

A written English Paper if required.

Students from overseas who currently attend a school in the UK will be required to attend the relevant UK Assessment Day in person at Queen Anne’s School.

Following the examinations and interview, offers will be made via Open Apply as soon as possible. We ask that you return a completed Admissions Agreement along with the acceptance Deposit as soon as possible as places are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Late Applications

Applications are currently open for entry to Queen Anne's in September 2024.

The UK points based immigration system

The school will make all reasonable efforts to assist students and parents to comply with the UK Government’s requirements on visa entry for girls who wish to come to the UK to study. Sable is our trusted partner for all child student and UK Immigration applications. The company has been providing immigration services for over 30 years and is regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner. We have retained Sable’s services to ensure all UK immigration applications are prepared in compliance with UKVI requirements.

Short Stay Enrichment Programme

Our Enrichment Programme allows students to experience the academic and co-curricular opportunities offered to our Queen Anne's students. By providing specialist teaching with modern facilities and working with students in small groups, our short stay girls will be fully integrated into Queen Anne’s School life providing a perfect preparation for further study. Students must stay for a minimum of one academic term. We have students joining us from Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and many other countries. Contact the Admissions Team to find out more.
