This year’s National Poetry Day falls on Thursday 6th October and we are calling on all Queen Anne’s poets to submit their poems in order to celebrate this fantastic day.
The theme for this year’s National Poetry Day is ‘The Environment’
All Lower School students (L4-U4) are required to write a poem based on the theme for prep and to submit to their English teachers on Monday, 3rd October:
- students must clearly type and print their work
- students can illustrate their poem if they wish
- winning poems will be selected by the English Department and winning poets will be informed the following week
The competition is also open to all members of the school, so L5, U5, L6, U6 and staff members are more than welcome to submit their work to the English Department!
