India B

My name is India and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was a day girl in Ffyler house and then in Holmes in L6, where I started boarding 4 nights a week.

The A-Levels I am doing are Business, Geography and Psychology and after Queen Anne’s I am planning on doing Business Management. I have a passion for fashion, so I would love to link business management with fashion after University. Outside of my studies, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, going to the gym and shopping.

At school, I enjoy regularly attending the gym, my weekly tennis lessons, I volunteer at Micklands school for a reading programme and I am part of Sport In Mind, which is a new charity that Queen Anne’s is supporting. In learning about the importance of sport on mental illnesses, we have presented wellbeing session to the younger years about this.

Camilla B

My name is Millie and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Webbe house and then in Holmes where I started boarding 4 nights a week.

The A-Levels I am doing are Chemistry, Biology and Maths and after Queen Anne’s I am planning on doing a science degree at university and I am interested in Bioscience and Pharmacy.

Generally, I enjoy eating, sleeping and playing sports. At school I am part of the 1st lacrosse and tennis team, I play the clarinet at grade 8 level and I participate in concert band and Clarinetix.

Madeleine C

My name is Maddie and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Wisdome house and have stayed a day girl in Holmes this year.

The A-Levels I am doing are Economics, Maths and History and I am doing an EPQ (extended project qualification), where I am planning to write a play about how history repeats itself.

After Queen Anne’s I am deciding between doing International Relations and politics or PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) at University. I am unsure whether I want to take a gap year, however if I was to take one, I would want to gain work experience in a consultancy company, be a chalet girl during ski season or go inter-railing around Europe.

Both in and out of school, I am very passionate about acting, at the moment trying to write my own script, and I am going to Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year to perform with a drama company. I also enjoy kick-boxing, as it is a great way to release stress, and running where I am aiming to run 10k in six months. At school I am part of the 2nd netball team, I am currently doing my grade 8 in speech and drama, I volunteer at a drama club and I am part of debate club.

Samantha C

My name is Sam and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Webbe house I have continued to be a day girl in Holmes.

The A-Levels I am doing are Philosophy, Music and Politics and after Queen Anne’s I am deciding between doing politics with either philosophy, Law or Sociology at university. I am also keen on taking a gap year, and during that time I will hopefully go travelling, get a job and I am looking at a lot of educational placements in Australia, hoping to be a Gap Student to gain experience whilst exploring a new country.

I enjoy running, I have an interest in sociology, watching Netflix and hanging out with my friends. At school I am part of the orchestra and choir, I play the cello, I used to do RADA and I enjoy taking part in drama performances. I am also part of music and law society, and recently with my friends we put on a Queen Annes MUN conference with other schools, which was very successful.

Kerrie F

My name is Kerrie and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L5.

I was in Webbe house and then in Holmes I started flexi-boarding.

The A-Levels I am doing are Chemistry, Biology and Psychology and after Queen Anne’s I am deciding between doing Pharmacy or Medicine at university.

Unlike many people my age, I enjoy reading in my spare time. At school I participate in school sport such as netball and rowing (which requires a lot of fitness so you’ll often find me in the gym!). Outside of sport I enjoy taking part in other school activities such as the Medical Society and Sport in Mind workshops. Both inside and outside of school I enjoy volunteering with Micklands reading and chatting with residents at my local care home.

Marjolein H

My name is Marjolein and I joined Queen Anne’s School in U4.

I was in Webbe house and in Holmes I have stayed a day girl.

The A-Levels I am doing are Chemistry, Biology, Classical Civilisation and Dutch and after Queen Anne’s I am planning on studying Medicine at university. I enjoy dance, playing the violin and almost anything about medicine.

At school I take part in a lot of activities. One of my favourite activites is dance: I do contemporary, lyrical, modern, commercial dance as well as being part of the school’s dance company. I do a lot of music, I am a key member of orchestra and chamber choir, and I am working towards my grade 8 violin. I am part of MUN, debate and medical society, so I very rarely have much free time!

Hazelle M

My name is Hazelle and I joined Queen Anne’s School in U4.

I was in Wilkins house, a junior boarding house, and in Holmes I continued to board 4 nights a week.

The A-Levels I am doing are Maths, German and History and after Queen Anne’s I am deciding between doing International Relations and Public Policy at University in America.

I enjoy watching Marvel movies, fashion and event management. At school I am part of the 2nd lacrosse team, 1st netball team and 1st athletics team, and after all this team sport I also enjoy playing tennis for fun. I am currently doing my grade 8 piano, I am part of debate society and I run weekly MUN clinics for the younger years, from this experience with MUN I take part in public speaking events, as well as volunteering with Micklands reading scheme.

Daria M

My name is Daria and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L6. I am a full boarder in Holmes.

The A-Levels I am doing are Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and after Queen Anne’s I am planning on studying Natural Sciences at university. I enjoy reading and taking part in many extracurricular activities such as public speaking.

At school I do piano, I started a student-led debate club; I am a key member of MUN and law society. Recently, I started an astronomy society with some of my friends after we found an old telescope at school, we fixed it up and have put it to good use.

Amy N

My name is Amy and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Wisdome house and then in Holmes I started boarding 2 nights a week.

The A-Levels I am doing are History, Politics and Business and after Queen Anne’s I am deciding between going to University to do History, possibly with a Law conversion, or a business apprenticeship specialising in hospitality or marketing, of which I have found a few that I am very interested in. I am also interested in taking a gap year and if I was to do one I would want to go interrailing around Europe, as I love the historical buildings and culture of different areas of the world.

I enjoy photography and make up artistry, I try to interlink these hobbies with my history studies, as I have worked on a project I created, “Fashion through the Ages”. At school I do speech and drama at grade 8 level and I am part of law society, I do a lot of volunteering/work experience with charities, especially Nordoff Robbins, and would love to get a job there in the future.

Georgina R

My name is Georgie and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Webbe house, and in Holmes I started boarding 2 nights a week.

The A-Levels I am doing are Physical Education, Biology and Geography and after Queen Anne’s I am deciding between doing Physiotherapy or Sport Science at University. I am hoping to take a gap year, however I am waiting to see university offers.

My hobbies are sports and music and I love being in Holmes with all my friends!
At school I play for the 1st teams in lacrosse and netball, tennis and I am on grade 6/7 for singing and grade 6 on the flute.

Molly R

My name is Molly and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Ffyler house and in Holmes I am still a day girl, however, I board every now and then.

The A-Levels I am doing are Philosophy, Geography and Psychology and after Queen Anne’s I am deciding between doing Psychology or Geography at University. I am unsure at the moment whether I want to take a gap year or not.

I enjoy sports and hanging out with my friends. At school I play for the Netball 1st team and the 2nd team for lacrosse.

Sylvia S

My name is Sylvia and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Maddock house and then in Holmes I continued boarding 5 nights a week.

The A-Levels I am doing are Classical Civilisation, Business and Psychology and I am interested in taking the EPQ (extended project qualification). I plan for my EPQ title to be ‘Do the benefits of medical marijuana justify its legality?’

After Queen Anne’s I will most likely go on to study law at university. I enjoy listening to music and also playing the piano recreationally, sleeping, reading and hanging out with my friends. At school I am a peer mentor, part of the debate club and a key member of Law Society.

Hannah S

My name is Hannah and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Wisdome house and in Holmes I am still a day girl.

The A-Levels I am doing are English Literature, Psychology and History and I am also interested in taking the EPQ (extended project qualification) on a topic combining dance and English Literature. After Queen Anne’s I will most likely go on to study English literature at University.

I enjoy dance lessons, exams and competitions, tennis coaching and playing, both in and out of school. I also have a horse, so enjoy riding and reading books to unwind. I do a lot of dance at Queen Anne’s and out of school, including modern, tap, ballet, jazz, ballroom and Latin, and I am also part of the Queen Anne’s dance company. I have completed up to Grade 6/7 in speech and drama and I am part of law society.

Jessica W

My name is Jess and I joined Queen Anne’s School in L4.

I was in Webbe house and in Holmes I am still a day girl.

The A-Levels I am taking are Classical Civilisation, Philosophy and Business and after Queen Anne’s I would love to go on to study film production/film making at University.

I enjoy drama and musical theatre and I have been part of a drama production company outside of school since I was 12. I’ve participated in many productions with the company over the years. Outside of school, I also teach swimming, which I really enjoy. I teach swimming to children from the ages 6-13 every Saturday with my club.
