Lower 5 are put through their paces!

Lower 5 had an exciting day with visitors from the army!
 

Their day started with a careers talk, giving the girls a greater insight into the vast amount of careers available to them. The seven different job sections with the armed forces were explained; Combat, Medical, Intelligence & Communication, Logistics & Support, HR &Finance, Music and Engineering. The girls came away from the talk, surprised at the number of careers within the army but well informed as to how they could achieve achieve a role within each section.

After the talk, they took part in Elite training skills. Rotating around a number of stations, the girls had to work in teams to complete tasks. The girls did an excellent job and their spirits were not dampened by the clouds! The tasks were led by the Army and were all designed to encourage communication, teamwork and confidence. 

The day was a great opportunity for the girls to get to know each other as a year group.
