4s Careers Research Competition

4s Event

Our 4s students were set a task to research a career sector of their choice, including what jobs are available, what they entail, and the career paths involved.

They then had to present their findings through displays, presentations and demonstrations to a group of judges.

To encourage the girls in their diligent research, this was made into a competition between the junior houses, with prizes for the winners!

Maddock House chose to research careers in web design and computer programming. They researched and spoke to the judges about careers such as web developers, computer engineers and business intelligence analysts, and even took part in a mock video interview.

Wilkins House chose to research careers in science and medicine. They presented their thorough research into psychiatry, astronomy, cardiac surgery, veterinary medicine, marine biology and were even joined by a real life paramedic!

Ffyler House chose to research careers in dance and creative arts. They researched into various performing arts career, and those behind the scenes, such as fashion designers and choreographers.

Webbe House chose to research careers in hospitality and leisure. They researched careers such as event management, cabin crew, and even gave out free massages in an attempt to impress the judges!

Wisdome House chose to research careers in finance and business. They researched the important finance roles behind big organisations, and how businesses cannot function without a great finance department.

All of the houses greatly impressed the judges with their diligent research and captivating displays and presentations, but there could only be one winner.

And the winner is… Wilkins House!

Congratulations Wilkins girls, and well done too all of our 4s for such great efforts.
