Cricket Tournament at Leighton Park

A number of keen bowlers went to Leighton Park last Tuesday to take part in a cricket skills competition.

They were involved in batting, bowling and fielding skills training and competition, with the most fun definitely being the dives for fielding!


Tennis

On Saturday 10 teams played tennis fixtures against St Mary’s Ascot.

We did have to wait with the bus for a long time to establish where girls were. Please do remember to let PE teachers know if you are meeting us there.

Reading Sports Awards

The weekend before last, Zara was one of several athletes recognised for their achievements at the Reading Sports Awards Evening.

She received the Female Junior Sports Personality of the Year Award. Congratulations Zara!

Her second piece of good news this week is confirmation of her selection to once again represent Berkshire at the English Schools’ Track and Field Championships this year. This will be held at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 July 2019.
