A round-up of all the latest sports news in the week commencing Monday 20 January 2020.

Swimming

The U12 and U15 swim squads were in action on Monday swimming against the Abbey.

There were many good individual performances, with Louisa H (L5), Elizabeth T (L4) and Lauren S (L4) winning races, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough for us to edge home the winners on this occasion.

Cross Country

Whilst waterlogged pitches stopped play at the weekend for the lacrosse girls, others were still competing.

A muddy course greeted the cross country runners who were competing in the Berkshire Schools Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Newbury Showground.

Top placed was Libby R (4) whose 11th place secured her qualification to represent Reading. Well done!

Trampolining

On Sunday some of the trampoline squad travelled to Gillingham in Kent for the BSGA Trampoline Zonals.

Keira B (U4) placed in the top 10 in the novice year 9-10 category and Amelia S (L5) placed first in the elite year 10-14 category and qualified for the national finals in March.
