Queen Anne's Lockdown Poetry Competition

English Whole School

With the nation in lock down, it can be argued that our creative juices are being stifled.  Queen Anne's English department recently set out to change that by setting our staff and students a challenge - to write a poem inspired by the view from your window.

With many different submissions the standout topic that people chose to write about was most definitely about living in lockdown.  With a range of thoughtful, dramatic and often very amusing submissions, we wanted to share these and have a selection below for you to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who took part - keep writing!
