QASFEST 2024

The much-anticipated end-of-school Celebration of the Arts, QASFEST, took place on Thursday 27 June, and it was an unforgettable event. The day was packed with a variety of performances that highlighted the exceptional talents of our students. From captivating music and dance performances to the exciting Charter games, the festival had something for everyone.

This year, we were also thrilled to introduce a new addition: a dog show! Featuring a fantastic range of events, from agility courses where the dogs zipped through poles and leaped over hurdles, to obedience demonstrations that highlighted their impressive discipline and tricks, every moment was a hit. Well done to both the pups and their handlers!

Throughout the day, our students demonstrated their year-long hard work, showing off their extraordinary abilities and confidence as they performed on stage. Each performance was a testament to their dedication and passion for the arts. From amazing solos to whole year group performances, every performer showcased confidence and talent.

One of the highlights of the day was a spectacular Taylor Swift compilation performed by none other than our own superstar staff band! This highly talented band featured the vocal stylings of Miss Wimble, Miss Rutherford, Miss Barlow, and Mr. Walden, who all brought their A-game. On the guitar and bass, we had the dynamic trio of Miss Brookes, Mr. Gerrard, and Mr. Young. Bringing the rhythm and some serious flair, Mrs. Liddon-Horncastle and Mrs. Tomlinson dazzled with the tambourine and maracas. Mr. Roberts kept it cool on the piano, while Mrs. Birkbeck rocked the drums.

It was a performance like no other, and the staff proved they could definitely shake it off.

To cap off the festival, students surprised everyone with a flash mob opening in the middle of the crowd! 

And if a flash mob wasn’t exciting enough, some very familiar staff members surprised everyone with a dance to Madonna’s Vogue.

QASFEST was a true celebration of creativity and passion, embodying the spirit of our school community. Well done to everyone who participated, both on and off the stage, for making this event a resounding success.
