A big congratulations to Lily-May (L4) who was made the principal trombone in the National Children's Orchestra and she led her section of the orchestra at Port Regis School.
To join the National Children's Orchestra you have to pass an audition and the young musicians meet during the school holidays to attend courses and perform concerts around the UK. Players from this orchestra often go on to join the National Youth Orchestra.
Lily-May has already achieved her Grade 7 trombone and performs at a high level both as a soloist and in the QAS Concert Band.
