Mary lives locally to Queen Anne's and has been a day girl since she started in Lower 4 (year 7). Mary enjoys being part of the varied sports department at Queen Anne's and has shared her experience of life at Queen Anne's.

"Each morning I walk to school and go to one of the 'sits' (a big living room), to meet my friends before I go to my tutor room. During the school day boarders and day girls are mixed, so in my tutor group there are a few day girls and a few boarders, which I like as some of my friends are boarders. After tutor I start my day of lessons.

I really enjoy art because we can be creative and can decide what art medium we want to use. There are loads of resources for us to use, which is great because we can experiment. Each week our lessons are slightly different but, we are usually working towards a big project, which I like because I can develop my skills each week.

There are lots of extra-curricular activities you can be involved in, it's easy to find something you'll enjoy!

I play lacrosse, netball and tennis but I'm also part of debate club. I play regional lacrosse, which I got into through the school because the PE teachers put me forward to England Lacrosse.

The PE teachers are really encouraging and suggest other sports for you to try out. Before coming here I'd never really played netball, but now I play for the school against other local school and really enjoy it! I also didn't even know what lacrosse was until I came to QAS and now I play for North London, it's my favourite sport and could even be my future career path. The opportunities given to students are endless".
