The first student council meeting of the year took place today. Chaired by the Head Girls, the student council gives students the opportunity to raise concerns, put forward requests and also discuss positives within the school.
Representatives from each year gather information for their peers and attend the meetings on behalf of the year group. Each representative has the opportunity to discuss concerns or requests that they have received. All points raised are taken into consideration or can be answered during the meeting. The meetings also give the Head Girls the chance to feed information through the school.
By students from all year groups coming together to discuss their school, it provides the girls with vertical support and interaction. They know that there are girls in the older years, especially the Senior Prefects and Head Girls in Upper 6, who are there to listen to them and feedback anything to Senior staff.
