One of the highlights of this term has to be the U6 Society Leavers trip which is traditionally gifted to those leaving the school after their A levels in recognition of their transition from QA into the wider world, and becoming a QAS alumnae.
This year, the trip took place on a beautiful sunny day, aboard a riverboat on the Thames on Wednesday 29 June.
Our riverboat departed from Caversham bridge at midday and gently meandered its way down the Thames whilst we all tucked into our delicious picnic courtesy of Steve Beaumont and his catering team.
As we pottered gently along the River Thames, we were treated to serene views of the stunning riverbank in the sunshine, swans and geese majestically floating past and friendly greetings from fellow boaters and canoeists who were also enjoying the water.
After an hour we reached the stunning Mapledurham House, at which point it was time to make the return journey.
Whilst the girls all said their goodbyes to each other, we very much hope they stay in touch with the QA Society so we can follow them on their next journey. We wish them all the very best for the future.
