QAS L6 student Katia L has just passed her racing car drivers license and been signed to work with Excelr8 Motorsports this year as a driver for their team. She will also be working with a group called ‘Girls on Track’ to promote women’s participation in motorsports.
Katia delivered an assembly for the L4, 4s and U4 about her experiences as a racing car driver.
Katia says:
"I’m racing with the reigning BTCC champions, Excelr8 Motorsport, in the Vertu Motors Mini Challenge, where I am the youngest girl to ever compete the series. I’m a BTCC development driver for Exelr8 Motorsport and Bristol Street Motors where they are setting me up with the plan of being the first female world champion. I am also a part of the Williams Racing Early Careers program."
Well done Katia, an excellent display of #QASStrongSpirits
