A round-up of all the latest sports news in the week commencing Monday 18 March 2019.

Dance

On Sunday 10 March, some of the Queen Anne’s Dance Company travelled to London to visit the Move It Dance Exhibition. It was another year of excitement and inspiration for the girls as they watched performances from dance colleges and professional dancers on the main stage. Girls even took to the dance floor themselves in a hip hop class run by Studio 68.

Rowing

Queen Anne’s Boat Club entered their J18 quad into the Reading University Head of the River race on Saturday 9 March. Over 200 crews in a range of categories raced down the Thames across the space of the day. Teams set off at short intervals and raced against the clock down the 4.6km course.

The J15s were also entered; for them this was their very first rowing race.
The conditions were very tricky, with strong winds but both teams successfully completed the course. The J18s came 4th overall
