Swimming

The school swimming pool was packed with an large amount of parents from Queen Anne’s and St Andrew’s, which made for a brilliant atmosphere throughout the gala.

The U12 swim squad enjoyed an excellent gala with St Andrew’s Prep School girls and boys team. In a very tight encounter St Andrew’s ran out eventual winners 48-42. Elizabeth T (L4) dominated her races and skippered the girls superbly. She was backed up by a really good team display. Olivia B (L4) took the eye with some excellent swimming strokes.  Well done, team!

The U13 swim squad enjoyed an entertaining gala against St Andrew’s Prep School girls and boys team. Queen Anne’s ran out 54 -36 winners. Mr Blunt is reluctant to single out any one swimmer with plenty of the squad enjoying wins or just being pipped into second place. A real team effort led by skipper Libby R (4). Great swimming!

Berkshire Lacrosse Tournament

Last Wednesday we hosted the Berkshire Lacrosse Tournament against Heathfield, St Barts, St George’s Ascot and Downe House. Queen Anne’s played outstandingly, winning the U12 and U13 age category! The U14A team came a very credible second and the U12Bs gained valuable tournament play experience playing against all the A teams.

Netball

It has been a busy week on the netball front.

The U15s played Windsor Girls and the U14s played LVS Ascot. The U16s had hard fought matches against Kennet, meanwhile the U13s played Claire’s Court.

Lacrosse

At the weekend there were 13 lacrosse matches against Moreton Hall and St. Mary’s Calne. Moreton Hall had travelled down from Oswestry in Wales to play us as part of a mini tour prior to Nationals. Special mention goes to Lucy G (U6) who stepped in to play 2nd team GK, having last played the position in L4!
