On Friday 16 June, we hosted the United Westminster and Grey Coat Hospital Foundation Athletics event for 2023, known as Foundation Sports Day.
All five schools belonging to the Foundation competed at Palmer Park, Reading.
Queen Anne's were hoping to retain the Millennium Trophy which is for the overall highest scoring girls school across both the junior and inter events.
Despite the heat there were some fantastic performances and the squads really rose to the occasion, with several of our students achieving season bests.
The highest scoring junior across two events was Olufunmi E and at inter level it was Mary B. There were records broken, with an inter girl from Emmanuel breaking the 100m record in a time of 12.03 seconds. Mary also broke the inter javelin record with a throw of 33m 20cm.
QAS won both the junior and inter girls competitions and therefore retained the Millennium trophy for the 17th consecutive year!
