We are delighted to announce that Queen Anne's School has won the LTA Regional Tennis Education Award.

The LTA Tennis Awards celebrate the achievements made by outstanding individuals and educational institutions. Queen Anne’s School received this award for the excellent teaching from our PE staff and tennis coaches as well as for the progress of our tennis programme over the last five years.  In addition to this, the introduction of our Tennis Performance Academy, which gives elite level training opportunities to the most able tennis players within the school, impressed the selection panel.

This fantastic work was highlighted throughout the last year with a number of achievements, culminating with our U13 tennis team claiming the title of Aegon Tennis regional champions. This achievement led to Queen Anne’s being awarded the Berkshire LTA Education Award, in turn proving the school’s exceptional tennis coaching to the wider community.

“We were absolutely over the moon to hear that we had won the regional LTA Education Award” said Assistant Director of Sport and Head of Tennis Mrs Rachael Page. “It’s such a massive achievement for us and really shows that all the hard work we have put into our tennis programme over the last few years has paid off.”

This win also means that Queen Anne’s has been put forward for the LTA National Tennis Awards, of which just ten winners will be selected from throughout the whole country. Fingers are tightly crossed!
