On Friday 5 February, Queen Anne’s School took part in the first Remote Wellbeing Day.
There were no online lessons on this day, to give students a deserved break from their computer screens and focus on their mental wellbeing.
Queen Anne’s staff had organised a number of off-screen activities for students to take part in. These included colouring resources, reading tips and resources, and even a home-made face mask tutorial from Head of Pastoral Mrs Bryant!
Some of our staff even recorded some video tutorials for some fun activities to try at home. Head of Geography Miss Clarke introduced students to try ‘Urban Drifting’, also known as ‘dérive’, encouraging students to “take a walk with their wild side”. Dance teacher Miss Marsh led a yoga and relaxation session, and teacher of history Miss Robertson shared her famous juggling skills with a step-by-step tutorial.
Also as part of the Queen Anne’s School Wellbeing Day, staff and students were invited to take part in James Fabulous' online magic show where he demonstrated his amazing mentalists powers. The show was incredible and enjoyed by all who attended.
Natasha (L4) said "I love magic and the show was amazing" whilst Miss Marsh said "The show was brilliant".
A big thank you to James for supporting our Wellbeing Day. To find about more, please visit www.jamesfabulous.com
Our students were also provided with a ‘wellbeing bingo’ card, with fun offline activities to try over the weekend with their families, which we hope they will continue into half term!
