In their English lessons, our 4s students have been studying extracts from the novels of Jane Austen.
To fully get to grips with the novels in a creative way, they performed a scene from Pride and Prejudice using their own hand made sock puppets!
This extract is based on Mr Darcy’s proposal of marriage to Elizabeth Bennet. The girls rewrote the proposal scene as a play script in modern English and then performed it in front of their peers.
A great idea for an online English lesson!
