National Apprenticeship Week took place from 8 - 12 February, and gave students at Queen Anne’s School the opportunity to raise their awareness of apprenticeships: how they work, the industries they are available in, the advantages/disadvantages and the opportunities that could be available upon graduating.

Students were invited to attend events delivered by Winchester University, UCAS, EY, Amazing Apprenticeships and Mott MacDonald.

Abi and Kim, two degree apprentices from Mott MacDonald were especially engaging and were able to provide a great insight into what life is like as a degree apprentice and the responsibility and progression you can achieve.

Alison from Winchester University beautifully explained the mechanics of degree apprenticeships and how they compare to a traditional university degree.

Learning about alternative study routes to university allows the girls to make an informed choice about their future.

Thank you to all of our guests who provided such valuable insights into apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships!
