During Arts Week we celebrated all things creative at Queen Anne's. In a week full of drama, dance, music and more there was just enough space to throw in a BBQ and a bouncy castle!

The Witches
Over in Dramalamaland, the Junior school's production of 'The Witches' was performed across three nights, with the final night being lived streamed for the QAS community to enjoy! The cast had a lot of fun preparing for the show, they hope to of entertained and amused with their energy and enthusiasm!
The bewitching production was fast paced and turbo-charged! If the show is anything to go by, there is clearly great talent in the junior part of the school.
Head of Drama Rhodri Punter said “I have now done over a hundred shows and I can honestly say that this cast is one of the most delightful groups I have ever worked with”.
Lower School Concert
Piano Showcase
The QA Music department is delighted to present our first Piano Showcase, featuring talented young pianists aged 11 to 16; taking you on an exciting musical journey. From Bach, Diabelli and Beethoven, to Brahms, Debussy, Rachmaninov, Ravel, Bartok and Einaudi. You will have heard famous "gems" of piano repertoire along the popular contemporary composers. In our Music Department we praise and encourage girls to perform at all levels, from Lower Grades to Diploma. Nurturing the love for music and performing, building up stamina and learning different styles and genres is what our aim is.
We hope you enjoy their performances!
A-Level Music Recital
The U6 Concert is presented by our Year 13 A Level Music students including performances from Reading School pupils who we have been studying alongside our A Level musicians. You will hear an incredible range of top level performances of challenging repertoire for violin, bassoon, clarinet and voice all at Grade 8 and Diploma level. Please sit back and enjoy!
Art Exhibition
A stunning mixed media art exhibition was on display throughout the Taylor Hall and reception. From our youngest artists in Lower 4 to our experienced creatives in the sixth form. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Art Department to explode into the rest of the school.
Including a fantastic summary of all the girls have achieved through their GCSE and A Level work.
QASFest!
This exciting event for the whole school featured lots of fantastic music and dance performances, food, ice cream, bouncy castles, inflatable sumo wrestling and more! The music department did a wonderful job of organising the fun-filled afternoon; there are special thanks to the QA Society for suppling the girls with an ice cream (or two!) to enjoy and to QASPA, who kindly funded the professional stage.
Celebrate Dance
Live streamed on Friday 2nd July, the colourful array of performances wowed the virtual audience. Our dancers across the year groups worked hard to showcase their own choreography and talents across the many dance disciplines taught at Queen Anne’s. Stay tuned for access to the live stream.
