With a busy term ahead Queen Anne's School welcomed new starters through the gates today!

New Girls' Induction Day is an exciting day for both staff and students. The morning started with the boarders arriving at their houses. The new boarding house system saw Senior boarders moving in to Holmes, Wilkins and Maddock and the Junior boarders moving in to Michell. It's a busy time in the boarding houses as new girls arrive with their bags, full of excitement; unpacking begins almost straight away as girls decorate their rooms and settle in.

After the boarders have had a chance to unpack, the day girls arrive at the school and all new starters attended a welcome talk by Headmistress, Mrs Harrington. The parents then had the opportunity to take part in an informative Q&A session with Deputy Head (Pastoral), Mrs Bryant and Senior Deputy Head, Mr Richards.

Throughout the day the girls meet key members of staff such as their Head of Year and Tutors. Starting a new school can be slightly daunting so the girls went on a tour of the school and have their own Q&A session, allowing them to ask any questions they may have before lessons start.

After a day of getting to know new friends, teachers, preparing for their first official day and finding their way around the school the girls were joined by their parents for afternoon tea on the front lawn.
