Sixth Form Whole School

As Crosfields School move from a Prep School to having a Senior School, their students are in a unique situation where they will be top of the school for the next three years. Crosfields were keen for their students to have access to older students to act as mentors and role models; something our Sixth Formers are excited about as they share their expertise via the sessions.

Tuesday 22 September was the launch of our mentoring partnership and was an opportunity for the Year 9 Crosfield students to get to know the QAS Sixth Form. The Sixth Form ran a workshop about all the things they wished they had known when starting Year 9 and covered decision making with subjects, study skills, managing wellbeing, time management, being proactive and coping with friendship issues. Following today there will be regular visits both from Crosfields and the opportunity for QAS students to visit their mentees in school as well. Moving forward there will be a combination of workshops and mentoring provided by QAS Sixth.

We hope that the students from Crosfields gain a lot from the knowledge our students have shared with them and feel confident that they know where to go if they need further peer support. For the QAS Sixth Formers the programme an excellent opportunity to work on their mentoring skills as well as their presentation and public speaking abilities.

The mentoring programme is absolutely fantastic! Queen Anne's Sixth Formers are confident leaders who will positively influence our students
