As always the sports department has been busy with plenty of matches, fixtures and competitions!

Netball

The U15Bs narrowly lost to the LVS U15A team, with just one point difference in the final score (10-11).  The U15A and C teams played some very competitive internal matches against the QA U14 teams. On Wednesday, the U14A, U14B, U12A and U12B teams played Downe House, all matches were played brilliantly and resulted in wins for all QAS teams.

The U14 teams finished the week playing against Claire's Court. The U14As played in a tightly fought game against a tall opposition, with a final score of 8-12 to Claire's Court. The U14Bs started strong and were dominating in the first half with a score of 10-2, the second half saw the team keep the lead and finish with a win of 15-6.

Lacrosse

The U12s travelled to Cheltenham to participate in a 6-a-side tournament. The teams did well to adapt to come different rules such as a four second ball possession limit. Both teams won the the better part of their matches and thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Players of the tournament were Elysia T (L4) and Abi M (L4)!

Trampoline

The senior trampoline squad travelled to Macclesfield over the weekend to compete in the National Schools Trampoline Finals.

The standard of performance was quite rightly very high. The Novice team (Keira B (U5), Ella B (U5), Louisa H (L6) and Claudia M (L6)) placed a very creditable 7th  overall. Alice B (U5), competed at inter level, performed her skills with precision and had the highest scoring voluntary routine of the day, placing a fantastic 2nd.  Amelia S (L6), performed routines to ensure that she could perform them safely, but the difficulty level was still so high (including a range of double somersaults and twisting somersaults) that she still managed to place 3rd in the elite category. This is a credit to her skill level and her composure under pressure. A huge well done to all the girls.
