U13 Tennis

The U13 tennis team played their first group round in the LTA Youth School's competition against Heathfield school.

It was incredibly close match with match ties in the singles after both Casey (Lower 4 - Year 7) and Chloe K (4s - Year 8) won their matches. Going into the doubles Casey and Lola (4s - Year 8) really dominated with some fantastic net play by Lola and solid serves from Casey meaning they secured the win.

After doubles finished, the match was still tied with Casey and Chloe K having to play a ten point tie break to decide the winner. The girls had a fantastic start and at 9-1 up it seemed we had secured the win. Heathfield began to claw the match back and the atmosphere was extremely tense. After a few stressful points the girls managed to secure the win with some well placed shots, 11-9 to Queen Anne's!
