U4's make Bath Bombs in Chemistry

U4 Chemistry

Our Upper Four students have been making bath bombs in their chemistry lessons.

To create their bath bombs, they mixed sodium hydrogen carbonate and citric acid together. Next, they added a few drops of food colouring, perfume and ethanol.

They then pressed the mixture into moulds, of flowers, stars, hearts and many more different designs, and put them into a drying oven to set.

The results: some beautiful bath bombs that made some wonderful Christmas gifts over the holidays!
