Netball

The 1st netball team played Ranelagh last week, with the final score 23-37 to Ranelagh. Meanwhile, the U15s took on LVS Ascot.

U18 Netball vs Ranelagh:
Final Score: 23-37 to Ranelagh

U15 Netball vs LVS:

U15As: Won 29-11

Lacrosse

Last weekend the 1st lacrosse team played in the South Schools Lacrosse Tournament, which provides an opportunity for invited teams to hone their tournament play before Nationals. Following their pool games they successfully made it through to the Plate Finals.

Pool Play Results:

  • vs St George’s Harpenden: Lost 2-5
  • vs St Cat’s 2: Won 4-2
  • vs Berkhamstead: Lost 1-4
  • vs Caterham: Drew 3-3
  • vs LEH: Drew 1-1

Plate Semi-final:

  • vs St Swithun’s: Won 3-1

Plate Final:

  • vs Putney: Lost 2-4

Yesterday the 1st and 2nd teams played in the Top Test Tournament, another warm up tournament prior to Nationals.

  • vs Downe House: Won 2-1
  • vs St Swithun’s: Lost 2-4

Five younger teams travelled away on Saturday to play St. George’s Ascot, with wins across the board. This was particularly pleasing as many of them were playing older age group teams!

Cross Country

Libby R (4) represented Berkshire in the Inter-Counties Cross Country at the weekend, having competed the weekend before in the South of England AA cross country championships for her club at Parliament Hill. She may not have realised it, but the overall winner of the senior women’s 8km cross country was Queen Anne’s alumna Jessica Gibbon! She ran the 8 km in 28.41 minutes.


Ski Racing

Millie J (U4), Ella B (U4) and Scarlett (4) braved very inhospitable conditions to compete in the 2020 British School Girls Races which took place this year in Flaine. The Queen Anne’s Ski Team came 2nd in the best new team category in both the U14 slalom and giant slalom category.


Swimming

There have been a flurry of swim galas over the last few weeks. It was the third round of the Wycombe Abbey league last week and we wish the girls luck against St Andrew’s soon.
