Event Whole School

On Thursday 30 January the whole school came together to celebrate Chinese New Year, with a special assembly full of colour and entertainment.

To celebrate the year of the rat, students and staff treated us to spectacular performances of Chinese music, drama and dance, which really brought the celebrations to life.

Four of our girls performed a beautiful dance in traditional outfits.

Our MFL teaching staff performed a song in Mandarin. The song was called Congratulations (Gong Xi), and is traditionally sung at the time of Chinese New Year.

Angela C (4), performed a spectacular Chinese ballet routine.

Ava L (4), Temi A (4), Sophia G (4), Lara L (U4) and Luisa (L5) performed their Chinese drama, that they had entered into the British Council Mandarin Speaking Competition this year.

Molly S (L5) sang a moving song, entirely in Mandarin.

Our 4s Mandarin class performed a special harvest dance.

Have a watch of some of the girls’ dance performances below!
