Queen Anne’s girls have been putting their dressmaking skills to the test by volunteering their time during the Easter break to help make PPE for local hospitals.

Sophie B (U5), pictured below has been helping local Henley based company Collier and Robinson. The company set a target to raise £8,500 in order to make 700 scrubs desperately needed by the Royal Berkshire Hospital. As this was such an ambitious undertaking for a small company, Sophie volunteered to help make the all-important scrubs.

Since this appeal started, their target has been smashed and over £18,000 has been raised so far, which means even more essential protective clothing can be made for the Royal Berkshire Hospital!

The donation link is still open, so those who still wish to support Sophie and her team’s work can do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/kristie-shemilt?utm_term=v5VZJyGj2

Elsewhere, Keira B (U4) (and younger sister Lucie) have also been using their dressmaking skill by cutting out scrubs for use by frontline workers at Frimley Hospital as part of a local community appeal.

We are extremely proud of our girls for using their skills to help those in the local community. Now is a time when we all need to support one another however we can, and our girls are showing true Queen Anne’s spirit by doing just that.
