National Schools Biathlon

QAS entered the National Schools Biathlon for the first time with seven students competing from a range of year groups. They swam either 50m or 100m and then ran either 800m or 1600m. The girls did exceptionally well with Amelie (4s) completing the swim in the 4th fastest time and placing 9th out of 93 competitors in the U13 category. Libby (L5) placed 9th out of 66 competitors in the U14 category and Upper 6 student, Molly completed the run in the 3rd fastest time in the U17 category.

For several of the girls this was their first proper track or swim race. Miss Marsh and Miss Lee decided to experience the event with them and competing in the teachers' event!

It was a great day and some of the girls even managed to get a photo with GB pentathlete Jo Muir.
