Microsoft School Whole School

Queen Anne’s School has been awarded the prestigious Microsoft Showcase School Award for the fourth year running. This award is achieved by schools who demonstrate what is possible to transform learning and deliver sustained success through transformative education. The award is an insight into how digital technology shapes innovative education at our school and continues to be an important aspect of teaching and learning.

Andrew Dax, Head of Digital Strategy and Computer Science, commented “The continued effort of our whole staff since our first successful Showcase School application in 2019 has led to our ongoing success. Continued innovation in the best use of technology to support our teaching and learning is testament to the enthusiasm of our staff. All teaching staff are qualified Microsoft Innovative Educators (MIE), and an increasing number further develop their qualifications as MIE Experts. A keystone of our success is the support given by the technical team, who work hard to understand the broad requirements of both staff and students. We are thrilled to be able to continue to share our success with other schools, who are starting their digital journey, and welcome any to contact us for further support.”

Queen Anne’s has an approach of tradition meets modernity, where best practice from both original and innovative teaching methods are combined to meet the needs of a successful and thriving 21st Century student. Personal work devices are used by every student at the school, enhancing their opportunities for learning and equipping them with essential, future-ready skills. We are delighted to have received this award again and look forward to developing our digital teaching and learning.
