Queen Anne's sports teams have begun an excellent start to the new academic year by competing in county tennis and lacrosse tournaments.
On Thursday 22 September, the U15 tennis team travelled to Bradfield College to play in the Berkshire final of the Youth School's tennis competition. After winning all their matches in the group stages and the semi-final at the end of last term, the team were excited to play in the county final. It was a great match with some incredible rallies and close points. The Queen Anne’s team were delighted to come out winners with a score of 12-0 and to become the U15 County Champions. The team are now through to the regional tennis finals later this year and look forward to competing again.
On Wednesday 21 September, the senior and U15 lacrosse teams played in the Berkshire Schools Lacrosse tournament at Downe House. Competition was fierce in all categories with the Queen Anne's team rising to the occasion. The senior 1st and 2nd teams came in second place with the U15's having a fantastic, undefeated run and winning the tournament. An excellent result for QAS Sport!
