Queen Anne's is delighted to launch the Get Active Academy, an opportunity designed to inspire athletes from the ages of 16 to 19.

Get Active joins Queen Anne's at a time where there has been incredible growth and interest in the women’s game, attracting record coverage of the sport.  At Queen Anne's we have a history of sporting success, developing many talented individuals with fantastic facilities for our students to excel across many sports.

We recognise that there is an ever-increasing number of young women who want to participate in football either as a sporting focus or to supplement their academic learning. Queen Anne's strives to bring new opportunities to encourage our students to explore all possibilities and are excited to be able to launch this latest, exciting programme.  There are very limited places in the country where girls can continue their education whilst playing elite football and by working with Get Active we are excited that we can now offer this at Queen Anne's.

In addition to this, there are an array of career pathway options available to students who would like to focus on a career in sport, not only those who aim to become professional players and coaching staff.  Director of Sixth Form Ben Stephenson comments "I am really excited about this partnership between Queen Anne's School and Get Active. For too long, young female footballers have not had the access to a pathway which includes both post 16 education and elite coaching and this is our aim here."

We are delighted to be able to launch this latest programme at Queen Anne's.  To find out more information and information on the latest trials, visit the subject page here.
