Congratulations to Maya (U6) and Hilarie (U5) on their success at The Berkshire Young Musician of the Year 2021.

The competition, run by Berkshire Maestros in partnership with Windsor Festival saw the girls achieve first and second place in their category of the highly competitive strings final. Maya gave a stunning recital including the challenging Bach Violin Partitia No. 2 in D minor, while Hilarie wowed the remote audience with her rendition of Bruch's Violin Concerto in G.
Mr Padley, Director of Music, said; “The repertoire the girls played was of an extremely high standard, more akin to the calibre that one would normally expect to hear from a university or music college final recital.”
The category winners were awarded with a Masterclass opportunity with international violinist Callum Smart.
