Queen Anne's welcomed juniors from local prep schools for Strictly Come QAS and Sing-It! events.
On Wednesday 2 November QAS dance department hosted 'Strictly come QAS!'
With the recent celebrations of Halloween it seemed appropriate to choose a song from one of the many episodes from Strictly and their Halloween specials!
The song chosen was Ghostbusters and the workshop was inspired around the 2019 episode with Alex Scott and Kevin Clifton.
The prep school girls had a great time and thoroughly got into character and took onboard all the key points to really project their street jazz dance performance.
There was help from 5 of the 4's; Casey, Charlotte, Florence, Lucy and Maia, who all helped the prep girls and really welcomed them into the workshop. It was lovely seeing them collaborate and engage on an area of our school that so many find joy from!
On Wednesday 9 November, we welcomed 17 students from High March school to QAS four our Sing It! event.
Our visitors enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch with our infamous brownies, before embarking upon an afternoon of singing and vocal fun led by Oliver Roberts (Assistant Director of Music), Emily Dickens and Charles Macdonald ex VOCS8 singers and now professional soloists and teachers.
The afternoon culminated in a performance by the students whose parents (and grandparents) came to watch the results of their hard work at the end of the day.
