Libby (L5) has been busy training hard throughout the summer, attending regional and national camps in a number sports and finished the summer break with a fantastic opportunity to race at the Youth Sport Trust National School Games Finals. The School Games finals is a bi-annual 4 day competition where competitors and coaches stay at Loughborough University Sports Village with 1300 of the best UK athletes across 10 different sports including Parasport.
Libby was selected by the PentathlonGB National Athlete Development Pathway to race up into the Under17 Girls category, against girls up to two and a half years older than her. She raced strongly in the individual Laser Run event, finishing 7th overall and brought her team home to win the Team Gold medal. She followed this up in the U17 mixed pairs relay with another Gold medal.
Earlier in the summer, Libby's performance at the PentathlonGB National Triathlete Championships awarded her with selection to represent TeamGB at the 2021 European and World Triathle Championships however PentathlonGB were not able to send a team to the event due to covid restrictions.
