The Lower 4s have made a fantastic start to music at Queen Anne's and they are certainly a musical group.
So far, their class lessons have involved playing musical games, and working on vocal technique. They have learnt several songs and have been working very well together in their classes.
It's been really encouraging to see many Lower 4s joining the musical activities on offer at school, with many singing in QAS Voices, playing in Concert Band and String Sinfonia, and even having a go at forming a rock group in Band Club!
Last week the year group came together for the first time to rehearse and record the song 'How Far I'll Go' from the film Moana. This has been the first recording released to QA Sounds this year. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the year for girls to record a piece of music that they have been learning for QA Sounds.
Their first live concert performance for the Lower 4s will take place on the 15th of November when they sing in the Lower School Concert. More details to follow.
