On Tuesday 14 January, Lower 4 students showcased their hard work from last term at the fantastic MADE showcase. This annual event offers Lower 4 students the opportunity to present their creations to family and staff. The showcase began with an exhibition in Café 6 and concluded with performances in the Performing Arts Centre.
This year’s theme was Journey to the West by Wu Cheng’en, one of the greatest classic Chinese novels. The story explores Chinese mythology, Buddhism, folk religion, and the historical journey of the monk Xuanzang.
Café 6 was adorned with an array of creative and inspired art. The students’ work featured beautifully detailed ceramic pieces and excellently written monologues, all inspired by the novel. The evening concluded with dramatic performances, including scenes delivered in Mandarin, brilliantly choreographed dances, and captivating songs.
The Lower 4 students were incredibly proud of their achievements, and the audience was amazed by their creativity, knowledge, and understanding.
Congratulations to the Lower 4s, who truly MADE it!
