The Science of Roller Coasters and Lego Robotix

"The L4 students have had a fabulous day at Legoland! The day began with two excellent workshops led by Legoland trainers on the ‘Science of Rollercoasters’ and ‘Lego Robotix’. This was a super mix of educational and fun – mainly fun! I thoroughly enjoyed constructing and testing a working rollercoaster track, suspended on tall, Lego brick towers. The girls created some really impressive structures. The Robotix group had a great time too, constructing and programming robots. Mr Bottomley has already ordered a consignment of Robotix Lego, in readiness for the Robotix Club which will launch in September!

Most of the girls had visited before but were delighted to reacquaint themselves with familiar favourite rides, such as the log flume, Haunted House and the Pirates Falls Treasure Chest! The outright favourite though was the recently-opened Flight of the Sky Lion – a VR rollercoaster. QAS L4 screams resonated around the park!

This was a great way for the L4 to spend the last full day of the school year, relaxing and having fun with friends."
