Sometimes the underdog comes out on top!
The QAS cricket team hosted Downe House School in what turned out to be a great advertisement for the game of cricket. There were a lot of new faces in the squad, with some players playing their first game of cricket ever!
QAS started batting first and put in a fine display. Holly R and Emma R had strong performances with the bat. The first innings finished with a score of 80 / 2. A decent score to chase. However, Izzy S produced a masterclass of fielding excellence. She caught 4 players out and helped QAS to limit the runs of DH.
Extra innings were played, and it was great to see some QAS students play their first game of cricket.
