Cascade Dance Championships

At the start of the half term break, the Twilight Dance Company competed at the Dance Championships in Kent.

A number of the girls had solos and duets to perform as well as the company’s group routines.

Both the junior and senior companies worked well within their group when re blocking, changing the dances and adapting to the number of dancers performing on the day. This demonstrated the groups' versatility, great focus, and support to each other.

The competition was of a high standard; all performers were from dance schools apart from QAS! Watching some of the other competitors inspired some of the QAS TDC whilst also providing the drive to go out onto stage and perform to their best in their various categories.

Ava P and Scarlett B won 3rd place in the intermediate advanced modern duet, whilst Pippa C and Chloe C won 1st place for their duet in the novice intermediate modern dance duets.

The junior dance company were recognised for their beautiful performance in the lyrical jazz category.

It was a long day but worth it and the TDC look forward to going back next year!
